Fashion trends with Cinderella
The release date for the new live action movie of Cinderella is approaching (scheduled for next March), and Disney continues to raise the expectation with new promotional activities.
This time Disney contacted with eleven of the most prestigious shoe designers in the world to re-design the most famous glass slipper in history. The chosen designers were: Paul Andrew, Manolo Blahnik, Alexandre Birman, Renee Caovilla, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicolas Kirkwood, Christian Louboutin, Charlotte Olympia, Jerome Rousseau and Stuart Weitzman, each of which offers his particular vision of the iconic shoe, but they all used inlaid of Swarovski crystals, a firm that designed the shoes that appear in the new film.
Their creations will be available from March (except the designs of Louboutin and Blahnik), but if you like any of them, we must warn you that the shops where they can be acquired are fairly selected and limited: Saks Fifth Avenue (New York and Beverly Hills), Harrods (London), Galeries Lafayette (Paris), Excelsior Milano (Milan), Tsum (Moscow), Shinjuku Isetan (Tokyo) and the Level Shoe District of Dubai Mall (Dubai). Prices are not going to be very affordable as they oscillate between £490 the cheapest (Rousseau) and £2995 for Jimmy Choo.
